Projects/Fairs
+Feria | Gallerie Section – Booth 17 | Santa Fe, Argentina
We are pleased to announce our first participation in the upcoming edition of +FERIA, which will take place in Santa Fe (Centro de Convenciones Estación Belgrano) on April 25, 26, and 27.
On this occasion, we are presenting works by Argentine artists María Venancio (Buenos Aires, 1994) and Javier Barilaro (Buenos Aires, 1973).
María Venancio | 1994, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Her visual production observes and absorbs the city: the artist brings to the canvas what she saw on the street, filters what she read in a book or heard in a song. Her paintings look at other paintings, creating references and revisiting key moments in the history of Argentine art. Her work is traversed by sets of fragmented representations that persistently move from one canvas to another.
Javier Barilaro | 1974, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Javier Barilaro’s works interpret various imaginaries: the tropics, the pampas, the seasons, and states of temperance. In their respective settings and guided by a foundational tone, vibrant forms of nature are modulated, bearing witness to the artist’s unique and free relationship with the landscape.
