Arteba | Main Section – Booth 10 | Buenos Aires, Argentina

VIGIL GONZALES is pleased to announce its participation in the 2023 edition of arteba with the first solo show in Argentina by New York-based Ecuadorian artist Karina Aguilera Skvirsky (b. 1969) Las piedras estan vivas, an investigation of the archaeological sites of Ingapirca. In the words of curator Rodolfo Kronfle: "this series ends up being a metaphor of communication, where the stone, like a sphinx, poses enigmas that are expressed in whimsical structures".

The backstage will also feature works by artists Adrián Balseca (b. 1989, Quito), Javier Barilaro (b. 1974, Buenos Aires), Nino Cais (b. 1969, São Paulo), Gonzalo Hernández (b. 1991, Lima), José Luis Martinat (b. 1974, Lima) and Enrique Ramírez (b. 1979, Santiago).
